Ingredients:

  • Nut - 1 cup
  • Lentils - 1 cup
  • Olive oil - 3 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Garlic - 2-3 cloves
  • Chili pepper - 1 pc.
  • A beam of green onions
  • Sausages for frying - 2-3 pcs.
  • Spices - cumin, oregano, turmeric, fennel seeds - 1-2 tablespoons
  • Tomatoes in own juice - 1 jar or 2-3 fresh tomatoes
  • Water - 1.5 l
  • Cabbage (cabbage, savoy, feces) - 150 g

Preparation:

1. Be prepared chickpeas and lentils: chickpeas, soak overnight and cook for about an hour, lentils simmer for half an hour.

2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, fry the chopped onion and garlic until transparent. Put the chopped chili pieces sausages, spices and chopped green onions, stir and cook for 5 minutes until you feel the thick aroma of spices.

3. Add tomatoes with juice from the jar or coarsely chopped fresh tomatoes, cover with water, bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Add chopped cabbage and cook for another 5-7 minutes until tender cabbage.



4. At the end, add the chickpeas and lentils, adjust salt.

5. Serve this flavorful soup with thick black bread or tortillas.
